Black Watch Beaded Belt
The Black Watch is an infantry regiment formed in 1739.
The Battalion Headquarters and regimental museum are located at Balhousie Castle in Perth and The Black Watch's traditional recruiting areas are Fife, Dundee, Angus and Perth and Kinross.
The Black Watch is permitted to retain its most famous distinction, the red hackle on the Tam O'Shanter.
The Black Watch belt is based on their stable belt and is in a horizontal style of blue, red and green.
All of our belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.
We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.
This belt is 1.5 inches wide.
The old Black Watch tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.
**THE CUT OFF DATE TO ORDER FOR XMAS DELIVERY IS 30 NOV**
In memory of the late (great) John Bullough MBE founder of the Thunderbird Project - a concept where if there is an imminent threat to life drone technology is deployed to deliver life-saving equipment or medicine faster than existing emergency services can.
This is a charity very close to our heart and for each belt sold, Shilling & Fitz will donate £10 directly to The Thunderbird Project.
HOW TO MEASURE FOR YOUR BELT

LEAD TIMES:
Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
