The King's Bodyguard for Scotland, The Royal Company of Archers - Vertical Design.

£85.00

The King’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers is an Archery Club dating from 1676. In 1822 it was granted the honour of becoming The King’s Body Guard for Scotland.

It is known colloquially as the Royal Company and is located in Edinburgh.

It has a long history of celebrating the sport of long-bow archery and still competes for venerable prizes such as the Musselburgh Arrow dating from 1603, arguably the oldest sporting trophy still competed for in the world.

The belt has been designed in conjunction with the Royal Company and is in the vertical style of green, gold and red.

It is sold on this website with the kind permission of The King’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers.

All Manyatta belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai women, and using an average of 6000 beads using the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.  All belts vary slightly in colouration but follow the same style. This is part of their uniqueness.

This belt is 1.5 inches wide.

**THE CUT OFF DATE TO ORDER FOR XMAS DELIVERY IS 30 NOV**

In memory of the late (great) John Bullough MBE founder of the Thunderbird Project - a concept where if there is an imminent threat to life drone technology is deployed to deliver life-saving equipment or medicine faster than existing emergency services can.

This is a charity very close to our heart and for each belt sold, Shilling & Fitz will donate £10 directly to The Thunderbird Project.

LEAD TIMES:

Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
