Shilling & Fitz are one of the few remaining Military tailors in Scotland for made-to-measure Piper's tunics, Highlanders Uniforms and Pipe Band attire.

We use the highest quality Meltons, Doeskins and Baratheas from AW Hainsworth who have been weaving the finest cloths for Military uniforms since 1783. Every tunic is cut by our expert cutters, tailored and hand finished with braids, laces and buttons by our team of highly skilled tailors.

Our talented team with a combined experience of over 75 years have been supplying military and pipe band personnel since the very beginning. With Fitz ending his 22 years career in the Black Watch/Royal Regiment of Scotland as the Senior Master Tailor of the British Army he is highly experienced in Military dress and dress regulations. Shilling & Fitz are the official Regimental tailors to Royal Regiment of Scotland Officers, The Atholl Highlanders - the only remaining private Army in Europe who act as the personal bodyguard to the Duke of Atholl, Chief of the Clan Murray.

We make tunics for the Lonach Highlanders, The Invercauld Highlanders and are the official tailors for the newly reformed Duff Highlanders of Braemar.

 We supply The Irish Defence Force Pipe Band with the infamous 'Saffron' coloured Kilts, Braths and Flashes along with their smart green tunics and capes.

We also make tunics for professional Pipers all over the world including Europe, the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Using our self-measure forms, photos and video calls, we can determine anything in your body shape and stance we may have to consider and make adjustments for when drafting your pattern and constructing your tunic/outfit.
